Text Box: Organ Academy Could Be for You!

In the words of one teenager, “ Learning to play the organ in WAY COOL!”
How else can a ten year old shake the floor of a cathedral?
How else can a 15 year old lead hundreds of people singing?

Young lives are changed forever when they play an organ! Organ lessons engage young minds, hearts, and spirits to explore the most awesome musical instrument ever invented.
Or maybe you are a young adult who has always wanted to study organ or review the basics and learn some new technique or music or hymns.
Whatever your age, you are invited to consider studying with me on the organ. Piano background is crucial, and lesson fees are similar to that of the piano (30—45 minute lessons at church) Teenagers who study organ would have lessons biweekly, and consider piano their primary instrument through school. Three churches in the area have agreed to make their facilities available for study: First English Lutheran in Cannon Falls (where I am organist); Bethel Lutheran in Northfield; Northfield United Methodist Church. Lessons and practice times are approved subject to church calendars and resident organist
practice schedule.
I am a retired minister and active musician in the area who organized seven noontime 30 minute recitals in Northfield last summer. I have worked on all levels of the American Guild of Organists to promote study of the organ, especially POEs (Pipe Organ Encounters) for teenagers.
Give me a call about possible lessons! 507-645-1357 (or email: rkcollman@msn.com)
