Throughout the year there are several different events that take place in addition to Youth Forum and SPY. Some are old, some are new but they’re all a lot of fun!

High School Youth Trips

Every year we go on a Summer Youth Trip somewhere around the country. We usually alternate these trips with one summer being focused on service and mission and the next summer being focused on Adventure. In the past we have gone to places like North Carolina, Colorado, Kentucky, Chicago, New York and more. These trips are always some of the most fun and most meaningful experiences that youth have not only while involved in our Youth Ministry but in their entire lives.

Middle School Summer Camp

Every Summer Middle School Youth have the opportunity to go with us to a church camp usually located somewhere in the Midwest. For an entire week youth have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that could range from canoeing, horseback riding, Spending the week on a Houseboat, low and high ropes courses, and much much more. These weeks can be some of the most memorable weeks of a middle schoolers life and are extremely powerful in helping them grow in their faith.

Youth Service

Every Year our high school youth have the opportunity to plan and lead an entire Sunday morning church service. While there is a lot of work that goes into pulling this off it is a lot of fun and is a great chance for youth to showcase their talents and gifts to the entire congregation.

Sharing and Caring Hands

On the third Sunday of every month Youth from St. Peter’s travel up to Sharing and Caring hands in Minneapolis. Sharing and Caring Hands is an amazing facility/organization that seeks to help those in need in a variety of different ways. While there we prepare and serve breakfast to hundreds of individuals. This is always a meaningful and fun experience. If you would ever like to go, contact Matt at the church office. We leave at around 7:30am and are usually back by noon.

Youth Sundays

On the second Sunday of every month youth have the opportunity to serve as ushers, readers, and communion assistants at the 2nd service. This is a great way for youth to become involved in the Sunday services.

Fundraiser's

Throughout the year our Youth Ministry holds a variety of different fundraiser's. The majority of our fundraiser's are to help youth with the costs of summer trips and other youth activities throughout the year. While a lot of work goes into these events they are also a lot of fun and can go a long way in helping to lower the cost of summer trips.

Youth Kickoff

Every year at the beginning of the school year we hold our Annual Youth Kickoff. This event marks the beginning of our regular Sunday programming. This is always a fun and exciting event that always has great food, great games, and is a great way to find out what will be going on throughout the year.
