Sunday School
Sunday School is held at church and is at 9:35-10:30 am on Sunday mornings, and is for grades 3 year olds to 5th graders.
YOUTH FORUM is held at church and is at 9:35 am-10:30 am on Sunday mornings. Middle school and high school aged youth meet upstairs in the church. All ages will meet in the youth room for contemporary singing and worship, and then they will separate out into their own rooms.
The 2007 Sunday School curriculum is GROWING IN GOD'S GREAT LOVE EVERYDAY, or "G.I.G.G.L.E." So, what is all the giggling about? We want to support our kids in "Growing in God's Great Love every day!
Here is the G.I.G.G.L.E format in a nutshell:
--The curriculum and format will be set up to teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid friendly workshops.
--The workshops will be art, kitchen/science, workshop/music, drama/theater, audio visual, and computer lab.
--The same Bible story will be taught in all of the workshops over a four or five week rotation.
--The kids will rotate through each workshop throughout the week's rotation.
--The teachers will remain in their workshop of expertise for the entire rotation teaching the same thing to each group, with some age appropriate adjustments.
A group of people will be busy this summer organizing, designing curriculum and re-designing classrooms to get us ready for G.I.G.G.L.E in the fall! What a great opportunity to share your talents!
Preshool aged children will continue with a traditional Sunday School formation for the 2007-2008 school year.
