Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteer program aims to give every member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church the opportunity for the privilege of and responsibility for serving their congregation. Everybody's participation is important and our volunteers perform vital functions.
As the volunteer coordinator, I would love to help you identify the areas in which you could serve. Please call me if you can be of help. I look forward to working together with all of you in the ministry of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Faith and Care Team Specifics:
St. Peter's is a growing and vibrant congregation and we encourage all to participate in the life of the church. To meet the needs of our members and of our church, we have developed seven "Faith and Care" serving teams.
Each Faith and Care team has approximately 50 individuals/families per team. There are clear instructions available for all of the areas of service. Each of these teams is responsible for one month of volunteer serving every seven months.
"Faith and Care" teams include:
Readers, Ushers, Greeters, Communion Assistants, Preparing Altar and Communion Elements, Supplying Communion Bread, Nursery Attendants, Bookstore Cashier, Nursery Cleaning (2X monthly), Kitchen Spruce Up (2X monthly), Serving Coffee and Treats for Friendship Forum and Special Events, Organizing and Replenishing Pew Racks (1-2X monthly), and finally some Seasonal Event Decorating.
In addition to the Faith and Care teams, there are several other ways you could serve the church (i.e. teaching, serving at funerals, property repair, altar ministry team, etc.)
