New Swings!

Thanks to Bette Lee (on her birthday, nonetheless!) our swingsets have been sanded, primed and painted. We've also replaced the swings and they're ready to be used! Thank you, Bette for all your help!

Worship in the New Sanctuary 7/29!

Come worship with us! We'll be back in the newly renovated sanctuary this Sunday 7/29. The single summer worship service is at 9:00 am and coffee and fellowship to follow at 10. About worship on 7/29: Today is the first of five Sundays with gospel readings from John 6, the first four of which focus on Jesus as bread of life. Today Jesus feeds thousands of people with five loaves and two fish. What we have, what we bring to Jesus’ table, seems like it is not nearly enough to meet all the needs we see around us. But it is not the adequacy of our supplies or our skills that finally makes the difference: it is the power of Jesus working in the littlest and least to transform this world int

About Worship on 7/22

Worship with us on Sunday 7/22! 9am worship; 10am coffee & fellowship... also pew and sanctuary cleaning and pew re-installation! We'll be worshiping in the Fellowship Hall one last time before returning to our beautiful sanctuary. Come worship with us and bring a neighbor! About worship this Sunday: Mark’s gospel makes clear how great was the press of the crowd, with its countless needs to be met, on Jesus and his disciples. Yet in today’s gospel Jesus advises his disciples to get away and rest, to take care of themselves. Sometimes we think that when others are in great need we shouldn’t think of ourselves at all; but Jesus also honors the caregivers’ need. We are sent from Christ’s ta

The carpet is being installed this week! A few pieces of tile needed to be removed and placed again with new adhesive. The beautiful new flooring is still on schedule to be ready for pews on Sunday after worship!! If you're able to stay, we will be needing some help with cleaning and putting the pews back into place after worship this Sunday 7/22. Lunch will be provided for those helping!! Thanks!

Survey: Upside Down Sundays

Getting our many generations together at the same time at St. Peter's is not always easy to do! With our Upside Down Sundays we have a chance to come together to learn about the Bible and the Lord in relation to people and our community. These Sundays are important to us, and in order to make the most out of them we've put together a short survey on what is best about them so we can do more of it. Upside down Sundays will be planned, mainly for the 4th Sunday of the month after Rally Sunday. 2018 Upside Down Sundays will be held on: October 28 & November 25. Follow this link for the survey. Sanctuary Progress Report 7/12

The new flooring installation was started early this week, and Troy and David removed the screen hanging in the front of the church. The flooring is looking very nice, and the screen is slated to be replaced with tv monitors along the edges of the sanctuary for displaying visuals such as music and lyrics once again! We're planning to have the sanctuary ready for cleaning and pews returned after worship on Sunday, July 22! That means we'll be worshiping in our beautiful sanctuary once again by July 29! Thank you again for all of your support! It's an exciting time to be at St. Peter's!!

Wednesday Eve Summer Worship

On the second Wednesday of each month over the summer, we will gather for dinner from the grill with potluck sides at 6:00pm (bring anything from a salad to a bag of chips or store-bought cookies to share, we'll provide the meat/buns!) and, at 6:30, enjoy a different style of interactive worship. List on a ribbon or strip of paper and weave into the loom Regret - When and how have you been "unloving"? Write or draw on a coffee filter with marker and add to a basin of water Intercession - Who or what needs your

About worship this Sunday 7/8

Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 9. Ha! Here's what we have in store for Sunday 7/8's worship: Jesus does great deeds of power and gives his disciples authority over demons. Yet none of this power is unilateral; it all must be received by faith. Jesus asks his disciples to go out without money or supplies, so that they will be dependent on how others receive them. When we are sent from the assembly to witness and to heal, we are asked to be vulnerable, to be dependent on the reception of others. The Spirit always operates in the between: between Jesus and his Abba, between Jesus and us, between you and me, between us and those to whom we are sent. (sundaysandseasons.com) Worship with us at

Sanctuary Progress Report 7/2

Today marks the first day of asbestos floor tile remediation in the sanctuary. A week ago Sunday many willing hands helped to remove the pews, instruments, floor stands, altar, and everything else you can think of to get the remodel project rolling! Pastor David and Phil Olson took on the Genie lift rental to remove the light barriers covering the windows along the roof line near the front of the church last week. Let it shine! Thanks to all for support of the project and monetary donations and your time and sweat. What an exciting time at St. Peter's!
