About Worship Sunday 12/2 (Advent!!)

This weekend we celebrate the first Sunday in Advent with worship at both 8:30 and 10:45 am. Stay for coffee, snacks and conversation in between services and/or Sunday School at 9:40. All are welcome! About worship this Sunday 12/2: Advent is about the “coming days.” God’s people have always lived in great expectation, but that expectation finds specific, repeated enunciation in the texts appointed for these four weeks. The ancients anticipated a “righteous Branch to spring up for David.” The Thessalonians awaited “the coming of our Lord Jesus with all the saints.” Our Lord’s contemporaries hoped for the time “to stand before the Son of Man.” With them we eagerly await the coming days: anoth

Join us for worship this Sunday morning! Worship at 8:30 or 10:45 with coffee and snacks in between. All kids are welcome for Sunday School at 9:40. This weekend we will welcome the St. Olaf Gospel Choir to the 10:45 service. We'll pack in a shortened worship service with lots of time for the choir! She, like the widow of Zarephath who shares her last bit of food with Elijah, do

All Saints Sunday 11/4

Worship with us at 8:30 or 10:45! Stay for coffee and snacks between services. All kids are welcome for Sunday School upstairs at 9:40! This Sunday 11/4 we will remember those received into the arms of God's mercy, into the glorious company of the saints in light; and those joined to Christ in the waters of baptism over the last year. About worship: Isaiah and Revelation look forward to the day when God will wipe away all tears; in John’s gospel, Jesus weeps along with Mary and all the gathered mourners before he demonstrates his power over death. On All Saints Day we celebrate the victory won for all the faithful dead, but we grieve for our beloved dead as well, knowing that God honors our
