Worship with Us 7/28

God-willing the forecasted rain on Sunday will hold off and we'll be able to have worship outdoors as planned. If not, we'll worship in the sanctuary and try again next month (Aug 25). 9:00 am worship this Sunday, then coffee and fellowship to follow. About 10:10 we will continue our conversation on the ELCA's social statement on abortion in the Fireside Room. In the evening softball lovers are invited to cheer on our St. Peter's softball team at 6:40 pm at Babcock park (behind Tacoasis!) when they take on St. Dominic White. About worship on 7/28: Persistence in prayer evoked the admiration of Jesus and wins the attention of the Lord when Abraham intercedes for Sodom. The life of the baptize

Worship with us 7/21

Hey all, is it hot enough? Wet enough? Good grief! Sunday's weather finally looks like a beautiful day with warm weather and no rain. A group will leave St. Peter's at 7:30 in the morning for Sharing and Caring Hands (as we do every 3rd Sunday). Worship with us at 9:00 am, stay for coffee following worship. There will be a discussion on the ELCA social statement on abortion in the Fireside Room for anyone interested at 10:10am. Enjoy the weather later in the evening with a Church League Softball game. St. Peter's will be taking on Life21 church at 6pm on Sechler #2. About worship on Sunday 7/21: Perhaps the church, at its best, is “all ears.” Almighty God urges the faithful, again and again,

Worship with us 7/14

Join us for worship on Sunday morning at 9:00 am and then coffee following worship. During the coffee hour we will welcome back Howard White. He will give a short recap of his climate change presentation from last month and stay for questions, which he did not have time for earlier. Visitors welcome! About worship on 7/14: To love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind is to reflect God’s mercy in responding to one’s neighbor. That mercy found its most profound expression in the “gospel that has come to you”—namely the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That gospel mercy comes to us again today: at the font, at the altar, and from the pulpit. It is very

Worship with us 7/7

Join us in worship at 9:00 am and stay for coffee, snacks and fellowship afterwards at 10. Also during the coffee hour, Organist Richard Collman will lead us in a patriotic hymn sing. As always, all are welcome, and if you like, bring a friend to visit St. Peter's! There is no Church League Softball this Sunday. About worship on 7/7: God is the source of our nourishment. Our Lord’s invitation to “take and eat . . . take and drink” is a repeated one. In the holy eucharist, in the word read and proclaimed, in the assembly of the people of God, the dominion of God has come near. Rejoice! Your name is written in heaven. (sundaysandseasons)
