Giving to St. Peter’s: With “Give to the Max” day in November, it gives us a chance to highlight the importance of supporting the organizations which support our community. As St. Peter’s members, we pride ourselves with the many opportunities we take to serve those around us. November will be a time to give back. St. Peter’s asks to give to the max in donations as well as contributing to the fundraisers we’ll have for renovations and repairs. And as always, THANK YOU for supporting the church that supports all of us!
You likely saw or heard that the shingles on the church and parsonage (Sarah’s House) were replaced a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, the costs were covered by insurance (hail damage).
The flat roof above the middle school room has leaked, damaged the walls and ceiling, and now needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the flat roof replacement. Fortunately, thanks to your generosity throughout the years, and thanks to the wise management of our finances by our leadership, we have money set aside in the memorial and endowment funds to cover the costs which are estimated to be $55,000.
We intend to repurpose the middle school room to be a larger open space to be used for children’s ministry activities.
We are launching a capital appeal to repair and renovate the middle school room as well as to freshen up our narthex (entrance or lobby). The interior plaster on the bell tower needs repair. Our goal is to raise an additional $20,000 to cover the interior repair costs. Please include “building improvements” on the memo portion of your check, or in the description line in PayPal.
