About worship this Sunday 7/8

July 6, 2018

Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 9. Ha! Here's what we have in store for Sunday 7/8's worship:

Jesus does great deeds of power and gives his disciples authority over demons. Yet none of this power is unilateral; it all must be received by faith. Jesus asks his disciples to go out without money or supplies, so that they will be dependent on how others receive them. When we are sent from the assembly to witness and to heal, we are asked to be vulnerable, to be dependent on the reception of others. The Spirit always operates in the between: between Jesus and his Abba, between Jesus and us, between you and me, between us and those to whom we are sent. (sundaysandseasons.com)

Worship with us at 9:00 am. The forecast looks amazing and we will be worshiping outdoors if the Good Lord allows. There will be folding chairs available, but bring your favorite yard chair if you prefer! Coffee and fellowship to follow -indoors- at 10.

The sanctuary reno project is staying right on time, and we should be back in our beautiful new sanctuary by the end of the month!
