Worshipping Separately, Together 3/29

Happy Weekend! As we shelter in place these next two weeks, our delivery system for worship will not change. Please continue to join us on facebook live or watch the replay on the website afterwords. We have had a lot of positive feedback here (although Terra is still tweaking the sound to make it work better together). Bulletins can be found on the website as well. Follow along with the standard Sunday bulletin posted on the site or if you picked one up last week, you've already got it! Have your Songbook and Bible ready, too. If you would still like a St. Peter's Songbook or a printed bulletin, let us know! This coming Sunday, 3/29, we will welcome back Pastor Mark Rydberg another time, and Mary Kay Bougie will play for us. Opening Hymn: Jesus is a Rock (public domain, not in the songbook) Refrain here: Jesus is a rock in a weary land, a weary land, a weary land; my Jesus is a rock in a weary land, a shelter in a time of storm. Hymn of the Day: Spirit of Gentleness (St. Peter's Songbook #75, stanza 2) Closing Hymn: Seek Ye First (St. Peter's Songbook #71) Readings: Ezekiel 37:1-14 John 11:1-45 About worship this Sunday 3/29, the 5th Sunday of Lent: In today’s gospel Jesus reveals his power over death by raising Lazarus from the dead. The prophet Ezekiel prophesies God breathing new life into dry bones. To those in exile or living in the shadows of death, these stories proclaim God’s promise of resurrection. In baptism we die with Christ that we might also be raised with him to new life. At the Easter Vigil we will welcome the newly baptized as we remember God’s unfailing promise in our baptism. (sundaysandseasons) The mail will continue to be delivered. Consider sending your offering envelope by mail to the church - all you need is a stamp! OR there are two options on our website, one for giving once at a time by paypal, and another for setting up automatic offerings using Vanco. Again, thank you for your faithfulness. We hope the changes we're making can bring households closer together in faith even though we are all far apart, and when we're finally all together again, our church can be stronger because of it. God's blessings to you and yours, St. Peter's Lutheran Staff
