About worship this Sunday 4/26: Today’s gospel begins with two disciples walking to Emmaus, overcome with sadness, loss, and disappointment. They had hoped Jesus, who was crucified, would be the one to redeem Israel! Yet the risen Christ walks with them and then opens their eyes in the breaking of the bread. Each Sunday our hearts burn within us as the scriptures are proclaimed and Christ appears to us as bread is broken and wine is poured. The story of Emmaus becomes the pattern of our worship each Lord’s day. (sundaysandseasons) The ELCA has put together a COVID-19 Response fund. Follow this link to see more. Thank you for your overwhelming and continued support for St. Peter's and staff! All the little messages and notes are being received and passed amongst us. Your words are encouraging. Pastor David is keeping office hours the mornings of Tues-Friday during the week if you need to stop by or call. The rest of the staff are primarily working from home, but are checking messages. Thank you and blessings to you and yours! St. Peter's Lutheran Staff
