This Sunday is the third Sunday in lent:
The warnings are plentiful and blunt on the third Sunday in Lent. Cut it out or get cut down! The warnings are accompanied by God’s invitation to attentiveness: “Incline your ear, and come to me; listen, so that you may live.” The landowner’s ultimatum is forestalled by the gardener’s readiness to till the ground one more year. That is good news for all of us. Thanks be to God! (sundaysandseasons.com) Thank you to our volunteers and worship leaders for ushering, reading, working in the kitchen, web streaming and to the worship band for sharing their musical talents this Sunday. Help others continue to enjoy worshiping online every Sunday! Come learn the streaming software, have fun and take a turn! Contact Terra
Lenten soup suppers continue on Wednesdays at 5:30pm with worship to follow at 6:15, through April 6. Our sermon theme is “Shepherd Me O God,” based on a Psalm 23 devotion by Rolf Jacobson. Free-will offerings will be sent to Lutheran World Relief to support our ministry with Ukrainian refugees. All are welcome. Service will be streamed live to facebook. You do not need to have a facebook account to view.
A Habitat for Humanity Open House is scheduled this Sunday 2-4pm on Cotton Lane. The addresses are 2432, 36, 40 and 2444. A short program will follow at St. John's.
March is Food Share Month. Sunday School/Confirmation kids are encouraged to bring canned food items as a weekly offering. The congregation should also bring items to contribute! We hope to build a pyramid of cans before the end of the month. Items will be delivered to the Northfield CAC.
The Northfield Grief Support Coalition group is meeting at St. Peter's Monday evenings now through April 11 at 6:30 pm in the Fireside Lounge. No registration necessary. Led by Nancy Topp. See the newsletter or brochure for more.
