Sunday 4/3
The Strand's Habitat for Humanity home is ready! Join them Tuesday, April 5 at 6pm for an open house, dedication and blessing! The house address is 1207 Archibald Ct, and is located just behind our playground!
This Sunday: Join us at 9am in person. You may also join online live on facebook or watch on the website afterwards. Stay for coffee and be social after worship. For joining online, you can find this Sunday's bulletin and other announcements on the website.
This Sunday is the fifth Sunday in lent: Our God makes all things new. In the first reading God promises it. In the gospel Mary anticipates it, anointing Jesus’ feet with costly perfume in preparation for the day of his burial. In the second reading Paul recalls his transformation from the persecutor Saul into an apostle. In baptism, God’s new person (you!) rises daily from the deadly mire of trespasses and sins. (sundaysandseasons.com) Thank you to our volunteers and worship leaders for ushering, reading, working in the kitchen, web streaming and to Pete Pedersen & Mary Kay Bougie for sharing their musical talents this Sunday. Note: Communion servers been scheduled for 1st and 3rd Sundays. If you marked yourself as a communion server on your 2021-22 Time and Talent form, please check the April newsletter for your name! If you wish to be removed from serving communion let us know. Questions? Contact Pastor David.
Order Easter flowers here or with a paper order form at the Welcome desk through April 6. Potted flowers may go home with you after the 10:30 Easter service. (Services will be held at 9 and 10:30 am Easter Sunday).
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday, April 10! Bring the kids and enjoy the palm processional to start the service. The service will include the beautiful choir cantata, “Come to the Cross and Remember." After the service, at 10, you can take a "Walk Through Holy Week." This is for all people young and old. You will have the opportunity to visit six different settings around the building where you will hear and remember the stories of Jesus’ last days and death. Each setting will include an activity that will help to recall the profound event. All are welcome to participate and/or bring guests. This is also in place of Sunday School.
Sarah's House Need: Bette Lee is looking for a donation of two small dressers to be used at Sarah's House. If you or someone you know is willing to do this, please contact Bette!
Blessings, St. Peter's Lutheran Staff April Parish Visitor
